Grades K–2Ages 5–8 · Unit 1.3 · Saving For Something
My saving goal: a free savings worksheet for K–2.
Saving is abstract until a child can name the thing. This one-page sheet asks for three answers and nothing more: what you are saving for, what it costs, and when you want it by. Those three lines turn a vague wish into something a five-year-old can actually track.
No account. No email. Nothing collected about your child.
What is on the page
- A box to name what you are saving for
- A line for what it costs, counted in coins
- A line for when you want it by
- An answer page with what a good goal looks like
What it teaches
- That a goal needs a what and a when
- Putting a price on something you want
- Saying a plan out loud so you can keep it
How to run it
There is no wrong answer here, but there is a weak one. “A scooter, 40 coins, by my birthday” is a goal. “A scooter, lots, soon” is a wish. Push gently for the number and the date.
