The Problem We Saw

Knowing and doing are not the same thing.

A student can define "compound interest" on a test and still spend every dollar they earn the moment they get it. The problem isn't knowledge — it's practice. Children need repeated financial decision-making reps before the stakes are real.

The Founder

Michael D. Olaiya

Michael is a pharmacist, entrepreneur, and community leader based in Atlanta, Georgia. As a clinician, he spent years watching patients know exactly what they were supposed to do — and still make the wrong choice under pressure. The gap wasn't information. It was practice.

He saw the same pattern in financial literacy. Children were being taught the vocabulary of money management with no place to practice the decisions. So he built one.

The six characters at the heart of WealthWise Kids — Miller, Sai, Ava, Macon, Naiya, and Brooke-Lynn — are modeled after real children: his godchildren. The platform was built for them first. Every child who uses it is next.

WealthWise Kids LLC is an Atlanta-based financial literacy platform company. Our programs are deployed in K–12 schools, community organizations, and youth-serving nonprofits across Georgia and California. All programs are FERPA and COPPA compliant and eligible for Title IV-A district funding.
