Accessibility

What works, what doesn’t yet, and who to tell.

We aim for WCAG 2.1 AA across wealthwisekids.org, The $100 Week™, and the facilitator portal. We are not there everywhere, and this page says where. Last reviewed September 2026.

What is in place

• Keyboard navigation on this site, including the menus, forms, and calculators; a visible focus state on every control.
• Text alternatives on informational images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
• Body text set in real text, never in images, and resizable to 200% without loss of content.
• Color is never the only carrier of meaning in the FLIQ report: bands are named as well as colored, and movement is shown as numbers.
• Motion respects the operating system’s reduce-motion setting.
• The $100 Week™ runs in any modern browser on Chromebooks, iPads, laptops, and phones, with no installation and no account.
• Printed materials (student packs, family letters) use write-in space sized by age band and high-contrast type.

Known gaps

• The $100 Week™ has not had a full screen-reader audit; some choice screens rely on visual grouping that is not yet fully described.
• Downloadable guides are HTML pages formatted for print, not tagged PDFs; if you need a tagged PDF, ask and we will produce one.
• Video and audio content, where it exists, is not yet captioned in every case.
• The facilitator portal has not been tested with screen magnification above 200%.
• Materials are in English only. A Spanish family guide is the first translation planned, once a Spanish-speaking cohort exists.

If something does not work for you or a student, email info@wealthwisekids.org with “Accessibility” in the subject line and the page or screen involved. We reply within two business days and fix what we can; anything we cannot fix quickly is added to the list above so the next reader knows.

Districts requiring a VPAT or a completed accessibility questionnaire: send the form and we will complete it truthfully, including the gaps.
