A WealthWise Kids program
Real-World Pathways™
A platform that connects students to career experiences at real workplaces. Schools, nonprofits and youth programs are matched with certified employers who host structured visits.
Open — the 2026 founding cohort is enrolling
Joining is free for schools, nonprofits and businesses alike. Atlanta is the home market and the platform is expanding nationally; it is not nationwide today.
Real-World Pathways takes the school field trip and rebuilds it as a structured, certified, outcome-tracked visit to a real workplace. Instead of a museum, students visit a working business. Instead of a worksheet, they leave with a record of what they actually did.
A Pathway Site is the workplace, certified to host students through insurance verification, background checks and youth-safety training before any student arrives. A Field Lab is the visit itself. The two are not the same thing and the difference matters when you are planning one.

Common questions
What is Real-World Pathways?
A platform that connects students to career experiences at real workplaces. Schools, nonprofits and youth programs are matched with certified employers who host structured visits. It is a program of WealthWise Kids LLC, based in Atlanta and expanding nationally.
Is Real-World Pathways free?
Yes. Every experience is free for students and for organizations, and joining is free for schools, nonprofits and businesses alike. There is no listing fee to create a profile and no fee for an employer to host.
What is the difference between a Pathway Site and a Field Lab?
A Pathway Site is the workplace, certified to host students. A Field Lab is the structured experience a student does there. The site is the place; the lab is the visit.
How is this different from an ordinary field trip?
An ordinary field trip visits a destination. A Field Lab visits a working business, follows a defined format, is hosted by a certified employer, and produces a record of what the student did. The difference is structure and evidence.
Does Real-World Pathways place students in jobs?
No. Students visit workplaces. No one is hired through the platform and no wages are paid through it. It is career exposure, not employment.
How are students kept safe?
Every Pathway Site is certified before hosting: insurance verification, background checks and youth-safety training. The platform is FERPA-compliant and the safety standards are published on the site.
