Dr. Lynn Richardson’s career in financial literacy spans nearly three decades, during which she has become a nationally recognized leader in helping individuals achieve financial stability and wealth creation. Her best-selling book, Living Check to Monday: The Real Deal About Money, Credit, and Financial Security, has inspired many to confront their financial challenges head-on,
providing practical strategies for achieving lasting financial security.
A champion for underserved communities, Dr. Richardson’s work has made a profound impact on advancing financial literacy for communities of color. She has partnered with JP Morgan Chase and Freddie Mac to lead initiatives like the
Advancing Black Pathways program and the "A Seat at the Closing Table" campaign, which focus on empowering African American and minority communities by providing them with the tools and knowledge to navigate homeownership and wealth creation. Her signature Mortgage Approval Plan, now widely used across the industry, has helped countless individuals, even those with significant financial setbacks, achieve homeownership—a cornerstone of wealth building in America.

Through her roles as President/COO of MC Lyte’s Hip Hop Sisters Foundation and Head of Global Business Affairs for Russell Simmons, Dr. Richardson has developed empowerment programs that focus on financial education, entrepreneurship, and wealth creation, particularly for urban and underserved communities.
Her unique ability to connect with diverse audiences through media appearances, including on platforms such as Good Morning America, BET, and Fox Business, has helped bring financial literacy to the forefront, making it accessible and relevant to individuals of all backgrounds.
