Empowering Families Through Financial Literacy Engagement
At The Carter & Olaiya Foundation, we are committed to bridging the financial literacy gap in communities of color through meaningful and interactive engagement. Our approach involves creating opportunities for both children and parents to learn and grow together, building a foundation for financial empowerment that will last for generations.

Storytime Sessions
Our Storytime Sessions are designed to make learning about money fun and engaging. We have partnered with local and national sponsors to host interactive sessions where children and parents read financial literacy books together.

These sessions not only introduce young readers to
essential money concepts but also offer hands-on activities, crafts, and games that reinforce the
lessons.

Parent and Child Workshops
Our workshops are designed to educate families as a unit, offering interactive sessions that teach parents and children essential money skills together. From budgeting and saving to investing and understanding credit, these workshops empower the entire family to make smart financial decisions.

Community Outreach Events
We are proud to take our mission beyond the classroom and into the community. Through various outreach events, including school fairs, neighborhood festivals, and community centers, we bring financial literacy directly to where families live, work, and play. These events are a great way for children and parents to learn while having fun.
